Ruzvidzo becomes new CZI President

CZI held its 62nd AGM on Thursday 30 May 2019, where a new leadership was thrust into office. Henry Ruzvidzo, Richmond Furnishers Managing Director became the CZI President, and will be deputized by Walter Chigwada, Zimplow Managing Director and Joseph Gunda, General Beltings General Manager.

In his acceptance speech to members at the AGM, Henry Ruzvidzo, who had served Vice President for the past two years highlighted need for a collaborative effort in order to contribute towards shaping the country’s economic environment.  He went further to urge members to remain supportive of the orgarnisation.

Ruzvidzo, in accepting the responsibility of be becoming the CZI president told members that, “I accept this honour to lead CZI in the next 12 months. I wish to thank the outgoing president for his support. I had subtle encouragement from previous presidents. I look forward with trepidation. It will require wide consultation, and work by all of us. I am certain we cannot be bystanders as our fate is written. I, therefore, call on all members to play their part to shape the environment so that our businesses survive.
